In the history of stoic philosophy, the only woman who gets much fanfare is Porcia Cato, the wife of Brutus. She killed herself by swallowing hot coals rather than living under the rule of Marc Antony.

I would put forward the name of Elizabeth Warren. She has been steadfast in her values since she became a US Senator, often to her own political peril. Seneca taught us to "persist and resist." Liz has done just that.
