@Elizafox sadly, matrix doesn't really work on #mobileonlylife
@320x200 @pixouls @praxeology @viznut wished i could find such a group near home...

but focused on #permamobile let's see if the hashtag catches up at least for me instead of #mobileonlylife + desktops forbidden!

i also could never manage to really use irc and mailing lists in my lifetime, plus both usually suck on mobile.
@thornAvery very interesting story (under the guide)! doesn't seem to work on #mobileonlylife though.
@nerdtronics @captainepoch perhaps i should replace my #mobileonlylife hashtag with #pocketonlycomputer
can we please normalise #mobileonlylife already? and get emacs for mobile.
my delta email to [email protected] #publiclife (#pubiclife?! 🤔)

love gemini and minimalism!

hi!

🤣

will you consider integrating fediverse and/or activity pub on this blog?

how about self hosted agpl3+ or #fupl code?

if "no" to both, you probably don't need to bother about giving me a key. 😁

i suggest you at least consider #offlinefirst and forget web front-end, unless you can use a simple webapp which provides.

#mobileonlylife

in any case, thanks for sharing your beautiful work however you will. appreciate the inspiration! 🥰

cheers.

@mergerg i must have made a mistake there...

i live #mobileonlylife and thought you were trying to debug on mobile.
@newt you had me at "weird".

i use mostly vim, and farmers edit. also use droidvim, jota+, and many other fringe ones, including cx file native.

wished i could use emacs...

#mobileonlylife

however, today, i completely remade ahoxus.org home in a few hours with acode despite its ide features: used it only because android won't simply open static html file as expected.

@delta wow, amazing follow up! 🥰

you could start with any fediverse of your choice...

aware of the desktop, but i live #mobileonlylife

also aware changing license will never be easy for big projects... but answering "why would you even care to change?" could get you started.

i don't use github anymore, but thanks for the offer! if you would find a patch made by me useful, i can fork it.

perhaps having a separate inbox would help me the most on "full email feature" right now... and perhaps i can even already use the current app to configure this!? 🤔

i will report back. 😳
for the longest time now, i will to build an app to organize our "data energy".

something i have called #achoz #uproot and other names.

today, it will ideally start as a fork of kiss launcher, and greatly improve only the search.

intelligently search through emails, files, contacts, and everything. #offlinefirst of course.

and it will also help to clean up after itself. keep a small data footprint: remove old stuff from the index, serendipitously add them back, gradually less, until we finally trash them, to get reviewed in the end of each day or week, for complete deletion.

in my case, over the years. a lot of people might prefer over a few days or months, depending how much storage you want to dedicate to it. default to 100mb, but i want to use at least 2gb. #mobileonlylife

it should run on android 10, 11, and 12. a termux app *might* suffice! just perhaps...

soon (2023 at most), it should also run on my next mobile device, which will be gnu+linux but perhaps not ubuntu touch.

ports to all other devices we shall leave to forks. simple and efficient ux should make it easy.

@kcubeterm have been helping a lot, but i want to accelerate the process, if possible, by finding more people willing to join the development...
