Finally watched the #PowerRangers #OnceAndAlways movie while having lunch today.
It's... a very silly movie, with a mixture of seriousness and earnest love/reverence for the old source material that doesn't mix well a lot of the time.
Also, the Zord CG sequences are just bad.
It has a sweetness to it, though. And when "Down the Road" (which I've had in my music collection since I ripped it from VHS in 2001) played before the credits, I actually shed tears.
One of the funny things about the intersection of folks we know is the number for whom Tor means at least an overlay network and the shuttlezord from MMPR season 2.
