Let us Raise Our Voices Against US Imperialism! Free Maduro and Flores and Apologize to the Venezuelan People! — MLKP

US imperialism, which has committed very severe, unforgettable, and unforgivable crimes against the working class and oppressed peoples, especially in Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East, but also worldwide, has committed yet another atrocity under the fascist Trump administration. It launched an airstrike on Venezuela, cut off the power supply to the capital, and kidnapped Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores.

With his statement regarding this imperialist arrogance and fascist aggression, the fascist Trump has profoundly insulted the Venezuelan people and, by extension, all peoples of the world who carry within their hearts the fire of freedom, dignity, and independence from imperialism. After Trump previously announced his intention to turn Gaza into a Trump construction and tourism center, he now declared that the US would take control of Venezuela and that he would offer Venezuelan oil to US monopolies. The words of this fascist, plunderer, and proponent of genocide in Gaza, who also instigates an imperialist world war, make the true meaning and intent behind the US imperialist assault on Venezuela so glaringly clear that no amount of slick demagoguery can conceal it.

The fascist leader Tayyip Erdoğan quickly forgot his words, “my friend Maduro.” Instead, he chose to act as cowardly as a field mouse toward the Trump administration. He is now a mute devil.

M. Corina Machado, who appeared on behalf of the bourgeois opposition in Venezuela, and Argentine President Javier Milei, along with others like them, applauded US imperialism as fascist collaborators.
The EU states and Britain, which welcomed Ahmed al-Sharaa, one of the perpetrators of the suffering inflicted by ISIS in Iraq and Syria, into the so-called “temples of democracy” in Europe, now attempt to justify the fascist Trump under the pretext that Maduro prevented democratic elections. This is the same Trump who transformed Gaza into a children’s graveyard. Now, these powers are trying to excuse the crimes of fascist Trump, who cozies up to the blood-soaked genocidal Netanyahu.

In light of all this, it is high time to raise the flags of dignity, justice, and freedom.

It is a matter of honor that the workers who bear the weight of the world on their shoulders and all the oppressed who suffer under the imperialist-capitalist patriarchal world, condemned to social injustice, gender discrimination, colonial oppression, poverty, and the deep suffering and hopelessness that accompany them, raise their voices against this fascist intervention.

To remain silent or neutral regarding Maduro’s governance style, his understanding of communal socialism, or any other arguments, is nothing less than to cover up this blatant, brazen imperialist and colonialist crime committed by US imperialism and fascist Trump, thereby contributing to its legitimization. All parties, trade unions, women’s organizations, student associations, professional groups, environmental movements, and various solidarity organizations from around the world, especially from Turkey and Kurdistan, that describe themselves as communist, revolutionary, anti-fascist, anti-imperialist, and progressive, and that stand on the side of the oppressed, must demonstrate in front of US embassies, in public spaces, in working-class neighborhoods, and on university campuses. They must use all available forms of action and protest to loudly and clearly raise the demand: “Free Maduro and Flores! Apologize to the Venezuelan people!”

Down with US imperialism! Down with Trump fascism!
US imperialism will be defeated, and the resistant peoples will triumph!
Long live the international struggle of the working class and the oppressed worldwide!

World Kobanê Day – A Torch of Resilience and Resistance: ICOR

In 2014, amidst the brutal siege by fascist ISIS, the people of Kobanê stood tall in defiance, fighting not only for their existence but for social and national liberation. As the revolutionary forces in Kobanê neared victory, the first Worldwide Kobanê Day was declared, a day of international action that reminded humanity of the power of people’s self-defense and the commitment for liberation.

By January 2015, Kobanê was liberated, and in the face of devastation, it began to rise again. With unwavering international solidarity, including the construction of an ICOR healthcare center by brigades from around the world, Kobanê became a symbol of hope. In Rojava, a new society began to take root, built on democratic self-administration, gender equality, and ecological principles, creating a unique achievment in the world.

Today, World Kobanê Day comes at a time of escalating imperialist aggression, the unrelenting violence of Zionism, and the deepening crisis of capitalism. The lessons of Kobanê and the resistance of the people of North and East Syria are more relevant than ever. Kobanê’s struggle lives on in the resilience of the Palestinian people, in the people’s fight for freedom across the region, and in the international movement against imperialism and colonialism.

Kobanê teaches us that the struggle for liberation is a shared one. It shows us that only through united resistance can we overcome imperialist powers and achieve true social and national liberation. The strength of Kobanê’s resistance lives on in the hearts of all oppressed peoples, from Palestine to Kurdistan, from the whole region to all corners of the world.

With the lessons learned from Kobanê and the solidarity demonstrated in the ICOR healthcare center, we rise on this World Kobanê Day, taking to the streets in a united stand against imperialism, fascism, colonialism, and Zionism. We march to honor the martyrs of Rojava and to defend a future of dignity and justice for the peoples of the region. We march to connect our struggles, to share our experiences, and to build the bonds of solidarity that strengthen our collective fight for liberation.

As we embrace the spirit of World Kobanê Day, we also commit ourselves to waging the Al Awda Hospital project in Gaza, a symbol of rebuilding Palestine with our peoples forces. Together, we will heal the wounds of our beloved peoples.

From Kobanê to Gaza, from Kurdistan to Palestine, the struggle for freedom and dignity continues.

PFLP Comrades Mohammed Khalil Wishah and Mufid Hassan Hussein are Immortal! — MLKP

You cannot kill Palestine, you cannot destroy its honor, its resistance, its dedication to victory!

Despite the genocidal massacres carried out by the racist, fascist, Zionist Israeli regime supported by Trump and NATO, the selfless and courageous Palestinian people, who have not abandoned their homeland and continue to resist and struggle, are being deprived of revolutionary leadership and the revolutionary vanguard is being dismantled through continued assassinations targeting PFLP leaders and cadres.

As we know from the PFLP’s statement, PFLP Central Committee member Mohammed Khalil Wishah spent his life as a fighter in Cairo, Baghdad, Beirut, and Damascus, enduring captivity, imprisonment, exile, and oppression. He took on responsibilities in the occupied territories. He defended the revolution in the camps, in the Bekaa Valley, in the south, and in many other areas. Mufid Hasan Hussein, one of the PFLP’s field commanders, took on tasks to protect many leadership cadres as a reliable and courageous comrade until the end. The murder of the two comrades is a new bloody proof of the fascist Zionist plan to deprive the Palestinian people of revolutionary leadership and to disperse the revolutionary vanguard.

The assassinations targeting the PFLP’s leadership are aimed at the same goal as those carried out in Kurdistan, Turkey, the Philippines, India, and Colombia in previous years. Ayman Naim Saeed al-Madhoun and Mohammed Khalil Wishah; Ali Haydar Kaytan and Nurettin Sofi; Wilma Austria and Benito Tiamzon; Nambala Keshav Rao and Lakshmi Chaitanya, Bayram Namaz and Zeki Gürbüz were all killed for the same purpose, with the same goal. They want to destroy revolutionary parties by eliminating their general staffs and pour concrete over the rights and demands for freedom of the working class, the poor, the oppressed peoples, the oppressed gender, and the oppressed religious and national communities. This is why a large chorus of enemies of the people, from the fascists at the head of the US and NATO, to Tayyip Erdoğan, Netanyahu, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, to all the fascist, racist, reactionary state leaders of the Middle East, and people like Mahmoud Abbas, have frequently repeated the threat of “eliminating non-state armed groups” in the Middle East, especially in the last 7-8 months. By destroying revolutionary parties, breaking the revolutionary will, and leaving workers, women, youth, and the poor unarmed and defenseless, they seek to establish the new slave-based world order and fascist feudalism that imperialist globalization capitalism requires.

But it will not succeed. Because the desire, need, dream, and struggle of the oppressed laboring people for freedom, social justice, gender equality, national equality, and a dignified, brotherly life cannot be destroyed.

With eternal faith in the survival and victory of the struggle and cause for the liberation of Palestine from the fascist, colonialist, and Zionist occupation, for which comrades Mohammed Khalil Washah and Mufid Hasan Hussein devoted their lives, once again.

To develop and strengthen the practices of cooperation and solidarity of the world’s revolutionary forces; Workers, women, youth and the poor are encouraged to support and join the ranks of revolutionary parties that carry out political struggle with armed organizations and means as well as unarmed;

To support the resistance of the Palestinian people; to stand against the fascist, Zionist genocide of the State of Israel; to carry out actions around the world in solidarity with the PFLP;

We call for commemorations for Mohammed Khalil Washah, Mufid Hasan Hussein and Nurettin Sofi and Metin Arslan, who were declared immortal.

Mohammed Khalil Washah and Mufid Hasan Hussein live, PFLP fights!
The only way is revolution. Long Live Socialism!
Long live international solidarity and united struggle!

MLKP: Hanzala is the Conscience of the Oppressed, Genocidal Murderers Will Be Held Accountable!

Following October 7th, Zionism’s barbarity escalated to unprecedented levels, reminding the world of the Palestinians’ historic and legitimate struggle for national liberation. It is clear that the genocide targeting Palestinians in Gaza and its escalation in the West Bank is not merely a regional problem.

Palestinian freedom has become a global issue of political freedom and democracy, striking at the heart of imperialism, revealing the rottenness of the colonial bourgeois social order.

Progressive humanity is mobilizing worldwide, taking a position, and willing to make many sacrifices in the face of the Palestinian issue.

Initiatives such as the Global March to Gaza, the Convoy of Resolve, and the Freedom Flotillas are acts of brotherhood among peoples that represent the conscience of humanity. While people in Gaza are starving daily or being massacred at aid stops, Zionism has once again attacked a ship attempting to bring urgent supplies to occupied Gaza. All activists on the Hanzala ship, including ICOR Deputy General Coordinator Hatem Laouini, who was previously one of the leaders of the Convoy of Resolve, were arrested.

The attack on the Hanzala ship is a manifestation of the quagmire of the Zionist occupation, which has been given free rein with the support of Western imperialism, especially the imperialist US, and the cooperation of reactionary Arab states, and which has far surpassed bourgeois rules of war and hypocritical morality.

Hatem Laouini and all activists on the Hanzala must be released immediately! Let us unite our forces, upholding the finest traditions of proletarian internationalism, and let us raise the banner of freedom of Palestine, which represents our own freedom!

The Middle East belongs to free and equal peoples who build democracy and socialism.

There is No Other Path But Revolution for the Liberation of the Working Class and the Oppressed: MLKP Statement PKK 12th Congress

Since August 15, 1984, the PKK has been waging a major struggle against denialist colonialism and fascism, centered on guerrilla warfare. It has made significant progress toward the Kurdish people’s right to national freedom and unity, on a path of the highest sacrifice as expressed in the 40,000 fallen comrades. It was one of the leading forces resisting the wave of liquidation that broke out worldwide in 1990-1991 and led the Rojava Revolution in 2012. The PKK convened its 12th Congress and decided to dissolve itself and end the armed struggle. The Congress announced that the forces of the PKK will continue the political struggle with unarmed and legal organizations and forms of struggle, that they have full confidence in the new strategy and line, and that the leadership of the movement will guide the process from now on.

Our party, which considers it a revolutionary duty to share its thoughts on the two key strategic decisions and some of the theses adopted by the Congress with the peoples of Kurdistan and Turkey, with the Arab, Persian, and Azerbaijani peoples, and especially with the revolutionaries of the region and the communist, revolutionary, and anti-fascist parties and organizations worldwide, has come to the following conclusions in its assessment of the PKK’s 12th Congress decisions:

1) Ending the armed struggle and free organization, as well as the formal handover of weapons to this or that interlocutor through an unwritten agreement, that does not guarantee fundamental national-democratic rights such as mother tongue education and national autonomy, and essential rights such as the unconditional release of prisoners of war and the unconditional return of all guerrilla forces and political exiles to Northern Kurdistan, is the acceptance of a peace that is neither just nor democratic.

2) Apart from the fact that certain legislative changes expected by the fascist chief regime are based on keeping collective national democratic rights under lock and key, the aim is not to shed light on the fascist colonial crimes against humanity and hold the criminals accountable, but on the contrary to bring the guerrillas as individuals and persons who have committed crimes before the colonial justice system. This is intended to pave the way for the policy of the fascist colonialist enemy, which is organizing the mood and practice of capitulation.

3) The new strategic line, based on the theses and beliefs that armed struggle, illegal means and methods of the party have lost their validity and that the colonial yoke cannot be overthrown in a revolutionary manner, that a struggle cannot be waged outside the boundaries drawn by denialist colonialism, is liquidationist and reformist.

4) The same thesis, based on the claim to transform colonialism and conquer the fortress from within, making it inherently reformist because it bypasses the economic core of the problem and reduces colonialism to the policies of the ruling national bourgeoisie or governments.

5) Theses such as “real socialist influence,” “denial has been resolved since the Özal era,” and organizational-ideological “irrelevance and repetition” are expressions of the theorization of the reformist new strategy and line.

6) The thesis of “democratic socialism versus nation-state socialism” seeks to provide ideological ammunition for the reformist line, which is based on the idea that revolution is unnecessary. It detaches socialism from the reality of classes and has a reformist character based on the denial and rejection of the Union of Soviet Republics, which is the achievment of the October Revolution and is based on the full equality of nations.

7) Our party has no doubt about the subjective sincerity of the PKK Congress’s statements, according to which the national democratic forces, which are to be organized on a legal, peaceful basis, are to be mobilized for a determined political struggle. Our party, which holds the position that popular dynamics will develop on a legal, practical, and legitimate basis, maintains its stance of alliance with the new structure based on national democratic and general democratic rights and freedoms, and will act accordingly.

8) It is the current task of the revolutionary and anti-chauvinist anti-fascist parties and groups in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan to expand the struggle to stop the colonialist peace process and prevent the fascist regime from exploiting the situation to strengthen itself, by demanding a just and democratic Turkish-Kurdish national peace. In this context, we call on the revolutionary and anti-chauvinist anti-fascist parties and groups, as well as the workers, women, youth, poor, laborers, LGBTI+, artists, and intellectuals of the Kurdish and Turkish peoples, the Arab, Circassian, Armenian, Greek, Bosniak, Pomak, Assyrian, Chaldean, Albanian, Romani, Laz, Georgian, and Azerbaijani national communities, the Alevi and Yazidi religious communities, to join us in calling for the official recognition of the existence of the Kurdish nation and the right to mother tongue education, the release of Abdullah Öcalan and all prisoners of war, revolutionary, anti-fascist political prisoners, the declaration of an unconditional ceasefire, the repeal of the fascist anti-terror law, the dissolution of fascist colonialist dirty war organizations such as Jitem, the special forces, and the village guards; the disclosure of the graves of revolutionaries, patriots, and democrats who were disappeared by the fascist state forces, and an immediate end to the occupations of Rojava and Bashûr.

9) There is no other path for the liberation of the working class and the oppressed, for the freedom of women, for the equality of peoples than revolution! As long as the monopoly of arms and violence remains in the hands of states serving the imperialist and collaborating bourgeoisie, in the hands of colonialism and the patriarchal system, as long as the workers, women, the oppressed, and the poor are kept unarmed and condemned to fight with their bare fists against rifle barrels, tanks, and cannons, revolution is impossible. The goals of freedom, justice, and equality for women and peoples cannot be achieved through legal, peaceful means and forms, through parliamentary struggle. A socialist society can never be built in this way. This is the clear and final verdict of the last 150 years of struggle between the working class and the bourgeoisie, between the oppressors and the oppressed, between the rich and the poor. Based on this truth, we call on the working class, the laborers, women, youth, the poor and oppressed people of Kurdistan and Turkey to support the struggle, waged by all means and forms, legal and illegal, peaceful and based on mass violence, armed and unarmed, to unite, organize, and fight in this direction.

MLKP IB Statement In Solidarity With The Week Of Action In Support Of The PPW In India

On behalf of the MLKP, we extend our solidarity to the dedicated revolutionaries of India during the International and Internationalist Action Week of the year-long Campaign in Support of the People’s War in India.

Through massacres, forced deportations, murders of villagers and indigenous people, social activists, and revolutionary leaders, as well as the persecution of journalists and human rights defenders, the fascist Hindutva regime in India is attempting to defeat the revolutionary movement and crush the just demands of the people. Backed militarily and with intelligence by US imperialism, the collaborationist Indian state, now under the leadership of the Hindu fascist Modi, uses special military operations such as the counterrevolutionary Operation Kagaar to achieve its aims.

Over the past 15 years, the fascist Hindutva Indian regime has intensified its repression and liquidationist attacks against revolutionary, democratic, and progressive movements. Dignified people who dare to raise their voices against military repression and the killing of thousands of indigenous people in the zones where the CPI (Maoist) operates are branded as “urban Maoists” and arrested under special laws. We once again commemorate revolutionary intellectual Dr. G.N. Saibaba, who lost his life on October 12th after years of imprisonment in brutal conditions that severely deteriorated his health.

The methods of counterrevolutionary attacks against the CPI (Maoist) and the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) are well known to revolutionaries across the world. These methods are being intensified from Kurdistan and Turkey to the Philippines and India to smother the revolutionary flames and with it, the hope for a dignified, free life without exploitation and oppression. The CPI (Maoist) resists these attacks combatively, inspiring revolutionary fighting spirit and resistance morale worldwide.

With known bluster, Modi declared that he would eliminate Naxalism by March 2026, but he will face resistance and revolutionary dedication backed by international solidarity.

We salute the international united struggle against imperialism, fascism, and Zionism, which is called for in the campaign, and reaffirm our commitment to standing with the revolutionaries in India and the Palestinian resistance against the counterrevolutionary front, which stretches from the murderers and enemies of the people, Netanyahu, to one of his greatest supporters, Modi.

We bow in deep respect to the immortalized leaders and members of the CPI (Maoist) and demand:

• Stop Operation Kagaar!

Raise international solidarity with CPI (Maoist) and the PLGA!

Freedom for all political prisoners in India!

Let’s struggle against imperialist war and in solidarity with the Palestinian people!

Long live proletarian internationalism!

MLKP IB Statement In Solidarity With The Week Of Action In Support Of The PPW In India - REDSPARK

On behalf of the MLKP, we extend our solidarity to the dedicated revolutionaries of India...

REDSPARK

On Ocalan’s Call for Peace and Social Democratic Imperialism: An Anarchist Communist Critique

Revolutionary struggle is never a solitary endeavor; rather it is an unfolding process replete with contradiction and tension. But sifting through the complexity what fundamentally endures is solidarity and principles. When we – anarchist and communist revolutionaries – embark on the path of struggle we expect to exist, grow and die in a life of contradiction and tension, but we also intend for the path we are on to steadily maintain the positions that we’ve historically defined as unequivocal. In essence, some things are negotiable, some deviations are forgivable, and some can be treacherous. The recent positions and actions by the PKK, in several of its components, are not only inconsistent with revolutionary struggle, but have deviated so far from the established principles of proletarian and internationalist struggle that the project has now veered into an essentially revisionist, collaborationist posture. This is particularly alarming as the internationalist movement exceedingly needs heightened, resolute and honorable positions as the challenges facing us are grave and growing.

We are writing from an anarchist communist position that is far from monolithic in our locale, or in general, but we have also been at the forefront of solidarity efforts with the PKK since the formation of the International Freedom Battalion, the HBDH, and the establishment of the anarchist guerrilla faction, the IRPGF. We have been increasingly alarmed at ongoing developments and the most recent political realities need to be addressed. We are not writing this with any elation and are not laying out this statement from a dogmatic, idealist stance. In actuality, we maintained principled silence on a whole host of revisionist deviations, and would have continued out of respect for the complex and dynamic position the combatants find themselves in at the forefront in the conflict zones in West Asia. However, recent developments have pushed us to publicly critique the organization in spite of our admiration for their historical accomplishments.

In the earlier phases of the struggle in Rojava, the US and the YPG both stated their collaboration was “temporary, transactional and tactical”; in essence, not a strategic partnership but a brief association to combat ISIS. This stated position is now, approximately, 8 years old and has turned into unarguably a comprehensive strategic partnership.

The reality is even more stark in light of the larger situation in West Asia today. The Palestinian Revolution, ignited by the monumental October 7th operation, followed by remarkable acts of solidarity performed in northern occupied Palestine and the Red Sea, set a new stage in contemporary struggle against colonialism and imperialism, but is also an illustrative example of resistance for the entire internationalist movement. The war against the Zionist settler regime, and in effect the US-led imperialist world system, is at an elevated state, and due to the genocidal nature of the imperialist forces, the planned ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, and the potential of success for the Resistance in Gaza, the liberation of Palestine must have a central role. To be clear, this is not to contrast the Kurdish movement with the Palestinian movement, but to highlight a fundamental contradiction that has reached its peak. The Zionist regime, being a settler appendage of US power projection, has embarked on a genocidal campaign, and the eradication of the Zionist state will put unprecedented pressure on American imperialism, particularly as the US is a wounded animal that has been in decline for some time due to its intensifying excesses. In this context, the PKK partnership with the American regime is particularly inconceivable – as a crucial war for liberation against colonialism rages on in the region.

The opportunism in this collusion is evident but there are also three other crucial points that we feel must be addressed to clarify the true scope of the morass.

1) The historic statement by Abdullah Ocalan calling for the PKK to lay down its arms and to dissolve itself not only betrays the strategy of revolutionary people’s war, self-defense, and proletarian struggle; the release of the statement had been timed at the height of the counter-revolutionary push across the region, which is the HTS/Turkish consolidation of power and the Zionist colonial expansion in Syria.

The statement was met with confusion initially by PKK executive committee members. Murat Karayilan, for instance, stated, “Let’s assume that he [Ocalan] made the call. But this work cannot be done only through a call. We are a movement with tens of thousands of armed people. These fighters are not on a payroll to be sacked. These are ideological fighters. They have beliefs and are willing to sacrifice themselves.”

The Turkish revolutionary organization, the MLKP who is allied with the PKK, resoundingly rejected the statement arguing:

We strongly emphasize that the view in the “Call for Peace and a Democratic Society,” which states, “There is no path outside of democracy for system searches and implementations. There cannot be. Democratic consensus is the fundamental method,” is incompatible with the reality of polarization between oppressors and the oppressed, the rich and the poor, the rulers and the oppressed peoples in Turkey, Kurdistan, and worldwide. In a world where the ruling class, through their state apparatuses, hold the monopoly on violence, have access to the means of violence, are armed to the teeth, fascistize state apparatuses, and divide the world with blood and fire, it is impossible for the working class, women, oppressed peoples, and workers to achieve their basic demands, gain freedom, and create a just, humane world without armed struggle and revolutionary mass violence.

The MLKP will continue the fight for freedom against the fascist regime, denialist colonialism, the patriarchal system, capitalist exploitation, and imperialism, for the Union of the People’s Republics of Turkey and Kurdistan, for the Democratic and Socialist Federation in the Middle East, and for the war for socialism, using all means and forms of struggle.

We echo a similar sentiment here. The renunciation of revolutionary self defense and mass violence is the siren call of a movement replete with bourgeois revisionism. Other segments in Ocalan’s call illuminate the same issues: the demands for “free self-expression, democratic self-organization of each segment of society based on their own socio-economic and political structures”; the idea that “permanent and fraternal continuity” can be achieved if it is “crowned with democracy.” Or that “there is no alternative to democracy in the pursuit and realization of a political system. Democratic consensus is the fundamental way.” This is the language of imperialist power; it is the language of liberalism. We don’t mean this in a pejorative sense either, but literally. The discourse of democracy separated from class war, a movement without an armed component, or a strategic initiative against the colonialist enemies is merely speaking the language of defeat.

2) Mazloum Abdi, the top SDF general, who was in the PKK high command, the HPG and a personal friend of Ocalan, publicly stated that the YPG is open to support from the Zionist colonial regime. Abdi stated if the occupation regime can “prevent attacks against us and stop the killing of our people, we welcome that and appreciate it… ‘Israel’ is a force with influence in the US, the West, and the region.” As we noted, Palestine is the compass for anti-colonial revolution, and publicly articulating (particularly now) a desire to open relations with the Zionist regime is unconscionable.

From Imrali Island to SDF headquarters, the whispers of social democratic imperialism have now become screams, however, in Qandil, and HBDH guerrilla zones we hear a different discourse. Cemil Bayik recently stated, for instance that, “A new Syria is being built, and it is based on protecting ‘Israel’ and the global capital. What does ‘Israel’ represent? It represents global capital; it represents the capitalist system. Protecting ‘Israel’ does not only mean protecting Israel; it also means protecting the system of capitalist modernity.”

After the martyrdom of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah the MLKP proclaimed his “memory will live on in the struggle for a free and united Middle East,” while also calling “on the peoples of Kurdistan and Turkey to take the streets, side by side with the peoples of Palestine and Lebanon, against genocidal colonialism.” TKP-ML’s Martyr Nubar Ozanyan Brigade, based in Rojava, proclaimed that “Nasrallah has become an example of resistance against ‘Israels’ brutality, attacks and occupations.” They called “on all peoples to take a stand against genocide and to actively solidarize with the Palestinian and Lebanese people,” since the “only remedy for the oppressed against this system is to unite in a common line of resistance and to strengthen solidarity networks with the oppressed peoples of the world.”

These positions hearken back to the foundational era of the PKK’s Kurdish Freedom struggle, when guerrillas were based in the Bekaa Valley as guests of the Palestinian Resistance, and even took casualties fighting Zionist colonialists in the 1982 battle for the Castle Arnun in Lebanon. Evoking this period highlights the nature of the political differences that have emerged, and the consolidation of bourgeois thought and practice within the upper echelon of the PKK – seemingly the dominant perspectives. The revolutionary parties and some of the executive branch in Qandil fully understands that the Kurdish Freedom Movement, allied with the Palestinian Resistance is unmistakably the path to liberate both societies – merged again through resistance.

Practically speaking, the Resistance in Palestine and Lebanon wanted a front opened against the Zionist regime from Syria. The Assad regime, being as opportunistic and cynical as expected, refused to open a new front for the Resistance, leaving Hezbollah to take the brunt of the fighting in the north singlehandedly. If PKK/YPG forces had opened a front, even symbolically, the contradictions that exist would have been severely disrupted, solidarity between the stateless peoples would have been strengthened and the repairing of Kurdish-Arab ties could have been addressed with a foundational basis of revolutionary solidarity and not political maneuvering.

3) The SDF/YPG announcement of their political and military merger with the HTS regime in Damascus signals an impending collapse of the revolutionary project.

The HTS seizure of power in Syria is the culmination of a counter revolutionary process targeting Palestine and revolutionary Kurdistan in tandem. HTS, like its counterparts ISIS and Al-Qaeda, are accomplices with the fascist Turkish state. Its military offensive against Assad, timed on the very day of the ceasefire in Lebanon – November 27th – was designed to put extraordinary pressure on the Palestinian Resistance and its supporters during a period of vulnerability. In this regard, it was almost certainly agreed upon by the Zionists and their American sponsors. Before the offensive, the US and Zionist regime were beaten to a stalemate in Lebanon and the HTS actions became the one marker of strategic success for imperialism in the entire al-Aqsa Flood battle. Fascist Prime Minister Netanyahu claimed the collapse of the Syrian regime was “a direct result of the blows we have inflicted” on the anti-Zionist Resistance forces.

On the Kurdish side, the success of the HTS military operation brought to power the same people the PKK had fought against since the rise of ISIS and it also rejuvenated the Turkish backed SNA forces that were attacking the YPG in the north. However, this also put political pressure on revolutionary factions in the Kurdish movement since Rojava was surrounded by hostile forces who have now gained momentum.

The Communist factions have maintained the position that striving for a Kurdish nation, allied with internationalist anti-imperialist forces as a bulwark against Western expansion is the objective. The PKK, on the other hand, proposed the formation of the democratic nation, opposed to the nation-state system, where directly-democratic communes organize themselves, cutting through the miscellaneous Sykes-Picot arrangement, and through ethnic divisions. But the opportunistic forces in the PKK, based in Syria and Turkey, disregarded both revolutionary propositions and took Ocalan’s call for disarming/dissolution and the opportunity to appease western forces to its logical conclusion. As TKP-ML stated in their recent text about Ocalan’s call, “it appears that even this ‘paradigm’” – Democratic Confederalism – “has now been abandoned.” In both instances, in Syria and Turkey, the party is calling for subsumption by both states. In Turkey the PKK calls for the establishment of a democratic process, which as Cemil Bayak says the conditions for such an initiative do not even exist. He states, “The Turkish state attacks us every day with all kinds of weapons. How are we going to stop under these circumstances? Of course, our struggle continues.” In Syria, Salih Muslim, spokesperson for the PYD’s foreign relations, reinforces the capitulation, claiming that the agreement with HTS is consistent with Ocalan’s decree.

We should also note that the signing of the agreement with the HTS regime, just like the offensive against Assad, was timed in a particularly heinous manner. The signing ceremony was commenced immediately after one of the gravest massacres – resembling Sabra and Chatilla – was committed by regime forces. Recent estimates maintain that almost 1400 people were slaughtered by the state in western Syria, the vast majority civilians, with tacit approval by the west and their puppet Arab states.

In the imperial core, particularly in the US, we had struggled against the revisionist creep in Rojava solidarity efforts; promoting the combative forces and maintaining the line of armed struggle, anti-imperialism, while supporting efforts either towards the Kurdish nation, or the Democratic Confederalist line. Both positions have merit, and solidarity was established through struggle, with its clearest articulation in the International Freedom Battalion in Rojava, and the HBDH in Turkey in Bakur. Through this process we have also understood mourning, loss and sacrifice. The internationalist movement has given martyrs from all over the world; Orhan Bakırcıyan, Ivana Hoffmann, Dogan Kirefe, Lorenzo Orsetti, Michael Israel, Ulaş Bayraktaroglu, Alina Sanchez, Nurhak Cem, and the list continues.

In memory of the fallen it is our responsibility to clearly proclaim that the direction the party has taken is contrary to the stated objectives of the revolution: from either the class struggle position or the Democratic Nation. We hope non-revisionist forces within the struggle can exert the necessary pressure to prevent a further drift towards reaction and normalization with imperialism. In a similar manner that Fatah’s capitulation in the Palestinian struggle damned the left to years of insignificance, or Khrushchev’s peaceful coexistence betrayed anti-colonial forces, thoroughly discrediting the Soviet project, the PKK’s shift towards integration and peaceful coexistence with US imperialism will certainly have a similar effect.

The integration of revolutionary political forces into the Western-backed state in Syria, and the dismantling of revolutionary military forces in Qandil and Bakur is totally irreconcilable and antagonistic to the furtherance of the internationalist movement. The Kurdish Revolution, with the PKK as its primary revolutionary force, cannot prevail after being absorbed into bourgeois, fascist political structures in West Asia; in fact, the most advanced sections of the movement – the women’s movement and the armed struggle – will only survive if the democratic aspirations of the Kurdish people are fulfilled and maintained through embracing the principled positions that have been established and continuing to combine efforts with other forces fighting against imperialism today. People’s War, the Democratic Confederalist model, and the “right to freely secede” (the right to establish a Kurdish nation which is now rejected by Ocalan), are all positions that reject absorption and must be upheld. As TKP-ML succinctly stated, “Renouncing or refusing to demand.. national-collective rights does not mean that the Kurdish national question has been resolved, nor does it indicate that the contradiction between the oppressor and oppressed nations has disappeared.

Due to wary statements from some members of the PKK leadership and the revolutionary organizations we believe there is still potential to pivot and rectify the situation internally. We are certain the guerrillas in the mountains, the commando units in the cities, and local organizers who worked diligently to build popular power are questioning these positions. Revolutionaries in Kurdistan and elsewhere understand what is at stake and that now is not the time for half measures. The collaborationist posture is particularly egregious as antagonisms and conflict are amplified in the region. The internationalist anarchist and communist positions must further the line against capitulation.

HBDH Executive Committee: Comrade Baran Serhat Lives in Our United Revolutionary Struggle!

We sent off comrade Baran Serhat, one of the pioneers of our United Revolution, to immortality in a treacherous attack 6 years ago. Despite those who murdered him, comrade Baran Serhat continues to lead our United Revolution struggle. His successors are now proudly waving the glorious flag that he never let go of until his last breath, in the mountains, cities, prisons, squares, factories and schools of Turkey and Kurdistan, in the toughest trenches of the struggle. The dreams of those who think that they can end the struggle for revolution by massacring the revolutionaries are once again shattered. It is again the red road of the revolution that advances to victory despite all the difficult conditions and the all-out attacks of the fascist power. The sacrifice and effort of comrade Baran Serhat on this red road continues to guide us today, as it did yesterday. Comrade Baran Serhat devoted his life to the revolutionary struggle to carry our world, where exploitation and oppression prevail, to salvation and freedom. He became a creative leader by adapting the huge struggle experience he received from his predecessors to the conditions he was in. Wherever there was oppression and pain, he took his place at the forefront of the struggle of the peoples. The cities and prisons of Türkiye-Northern Kurdistan witnessed his many brave actions. He made the enemy kneel down with his upright stance, turning every place he was in into a fortress where the revolution was defended.

Comrade Baran Serhat was a master revolutionary who lived as he thought and brought theory to life with practice. He became both a brave warrior and a creative commander and leader of the struggle, positioned himself in accordance with whatever the need of the struggle was, and embraced his duties accordingly. He made intense efforts to develop the common struggle of the people by not recognizing the artificial borders created. He played important roles in protecting and advancing the Rojava Revolution and in expanding the internationalist struggle. He pioneered the establishment and development of our United Revolution movement and undertook historical duties. And in March, which witnessed many heroisms, resistances and also massacres, he fell to the ground in the attack of the fascist Turkish state and its gangs.

We are going through times when the flow of history has entered a sharp turn. We are in a process in which the contradictions and struggles between the rulers who drag the world towards a great destruction and the world’s peoples on the other side have become much sharper. Learning from the lives of the martyrs of the revolution and commemorating them is the most meaningful way to commemorate them, in conditions where revolutionary militancy, revolutionary values and strong comradeship are as necessary as bread and water. Because they walked towards the enemy, never taking a step back from their struggle under the most difficult conditions, always moving forward, never hesitating for a moment, they became indomitable warriors of truth by embracing the consciousness of sacrifice. They instilled hope in the world and humanity, defying pessimism and indecision.

Those we send off to eternity in the struggle for revolution and socialism are the sources of resistance of our revolutionary war. They are monuments of resistance that show us what to do in the face of the unjust wars, occupations, oppression and torture, exploitation and massacres that continue today. We will increase the fight with the awareness that commemorating them is to develop the revolutionary struggle.

While we respectfully commemorate comrade Baran Serhat and all the monuments of resistance, we promise that we will walk more determinedly on the path they walked, that we will expand the united struggle, and that we will carry the struggle for revolution and socialism to victory. Let us raise the struggle for the United Revolution against imperialism, capitalism, fascism and male domination.

Comrade Baran Serhat Lives in Our Struggle in the Year of Immortality!
Martyr Namirin!

Remembering Ivana Hoffmann: Black Internationalist MLKP Fighter Martyred in Rojava

We honor Ivana Hoffmann, a young Black communist fighter from Germany who sacrificed her life on March 7, 2015, at just 19 years old, defending Til Temir against ISIS in Rojava.

Ivana, known by her battle name Avaşin Tekoşin Güneş, was the daughter of a German mother and a Togolese father. From a young age, she distinguished herself through her commitment to fighting racism and sexism, joining the “Young Struggle” group. In 2014, driven by ideals of justice, in the ranks of the MLKP, she joined the struggle in Rojava.

She dedicated her life to the liberation of oppressed peoples and was the first “western” woman to fall while fighting in Rojava. She was known for her courage, humanity, and fighting spirit.

She was commemorated at her grave in the Meiderich district of Duisburg. The tribute was attended by nearly 100 people, including members of the Marxist-Leninist Communist Party (MLKP), the Communist Youth Organization (KGÖ), Ivana’s Friends Initiative, the Confederation of Workers from Turkey in Europe (ATİK), the Confederation of Workers from Turkey in Germany (AGİF), the Democratic Kurdish Community Center (DDKTM), and the German Communist.

Following a minute’s silence in honor of the revolutionary martyrs, speakers from MLKP and KGÖ recalled that Ivana Hoffmann served as a bridge of solidarity from Africa to Europe. The speakers said: “With every step we take in the footsteps of our martyrs, we advance in the struggle for revolution and freedom.”

A march was held after the speeches and ended at the AGİF association where a reading event took place. During the march, participants chanted slogans such as “From Duisburg to Rojava – Ivana Lives in Our Struggle!”, “Şehîd Namirin” (Martyrs Are Immortal), and “Kurdistan Will Be the Grave of Fascism.”

A representative of DDKTM said: “Avaşîn Tekoşîn Güneş (Ivana Hoffmann) was born on 1 September 1995, in Emmerich. Her mother was German, and her father was Togolese. She became politically active at the age of 14. In 2011, she first visited the AGİF association in Duisburg-Meiderich, where she was introduced to the ‘Young Struggle’ group.

She participated in actions for the freedom of political prisoners and, in 2012, supported the hunger strike organized for PKK prisoners. She later joined the KGÖ, the youth organization of MLKP. In the spring of 2014, Ivana traveled to Rojava. In a statement by the MLKP, it was said: ‘She was a seeker of freedom. Our comrade Avaşîn believed that the Rojava Revolution could serve as an example for the region and, for that reason, it had to survive. Defending the revolution meant defending the future.”

Ivana remains a symbol of hope and dedication, inspiring those who fight for a better world. On this occasion, we share her letter written before departing, a message that reflects her strength and passion for the revolution.

Last letter from Ivana Hoffmann dedicated to her comrades, before she went to Rojava.

Comrades, Party.

I can’t distinguish the most beautiful colors anymore, I dont feel the wind of the city on my skin anymore, the singing of the birds sounds more like a call for freedom. I have made a descision, days and nights I lived with these thoughts in my head and today is the day to make this step with all my will, which is strong just as the flow of the river Dîcle-Firat. I want to be a part of the Revolution in Rojava, I want to evolve, In this six months I want to get to know the fight, which unites all the opressed people and of course the Rojava Revolution, which I will defend with my life. I know what I am going for and how important this fight is. I know that there will be difficulties, I will notice, what capitalistic features I have in me but I will fight these.

I will experience what it feels like to have a weapon in my hand and to fight for the Rojava Revolution, against Imperialism. I will experience life in a different way, more intensive and organized. Maybe I will get to my limits and fall back but I will never give up fighting spirit and I will go on. Nothing holds me here. I cant’t look passively at how my sisters, brothers, friends, mothers, fathers, comarades are fighting for independence of Capitalism. I will represent the Internationalism of the Party and be a part of the armed and organized movement. When I will come back, I will infect my comarades, my surroundings with the fighting spirit and the willpower, I will be like the beautiful songs and pull everyone in my spell. I will be a guerilla full of charity and hope.
