Loved this piece on @discogs - looking at MLK's life through his recorded speeches, the music that inspired him, and the music he inspired.
Studs Terkel interviewing MLK Jr. in 1964. 12 minutes long, worth a listen.

Studs Terkel interviews Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the home of gospel singer Mahalia Jackson. They discuss King's "I Have a Dream" speech that he made in 1963, at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial. At the end of the program there are various gospel music selections featuring Jackson and others.
Martin Luther King Jr knew what was important, what mattered and what it was like to sacrifice for justice & to strive to make the world a better, more just & humane place.
He gave us so much.
Let's not let him down - again.
Every time I read about how much the American laborer's prospects have degraded over the past fifty years, I can't help but think that they're ignoring Black and Brown workers, who did not enjoy the Golden Age of American Labor nearly as much as their white peers.
It always makes me turn up my nose, but especially today.
