A closer look.

One of my favorite parts of this piece wasn't planned at all.

The masking tape lifted some of the paper when it was removed, leaving rough edges and unexpected texture. Instead of seeing it as a mistake, I find that I quite like the effect. The torn paper adds to the texture of the piece.

Sometimes the materials make their own decisions.
