I use Claude Code intensively every day at work as it is the official AI assistant for my company. During my free time I work on personal projects and explore new ideas with Mistral Vibe.

Switching between the two used to be painful because the user experience was quite different. The Mistral team has made huge progress lately and the switch now feels effortless.

Before efficiency was also a big gap between the two but nowadays it is becoming less and less impactful. Claude Code is still much more efficient but Mistral Vibe has reached a point where I can do the same things as I would with Claude Code. It just takes more time and more prompting expertise.

The only - ONLY - card the EU holds in the accelerating global AI arms race is #ASML in the Netherlands. As much as I like #Mistral and as much as I think the EU #AIact is better legislation than what others are doing in this area - none of that really matters for what is happening in terms of geopolitics. ASML is the single real card, but it is a very powerful card.

And if that card was American or Chinese, both governments would have nationalized it as classified military technology. I hope the #EU is taking this extremely seriously.

es war mal wieder wwdc. da wurde siri ai vorgestellt. spannend für mich war daran, dass mehrere modelle nur lokal laufen. eines auf apple hardware (im entsprechenden rechenzentrum) und eines bei google im rechenzentrum. soweit so gut. aber wie oft wenn so etwas vorgestellt wird, hat mich interessiert ob man das ganze auch lokal nachbauen kann. davon abgesehen überlege ich ja schon länger ob ich openclaw mal testen sollte. ziel war also so etwas wie einen lokalen assistenten zu haben. viele ansprüche hatte ich nicht. regelmäßige suchen zu bestimmten themen und erinnerungen wäre erstmal ok. chat mit dem assistenten via discord, weil schon vorhanden.
