@Bookhoarder I've read the first 6 books of Mistborn (and just started the 7th yesterday) and the style seems fairly consistent throughout. But I've heard from some friends that The Stormlight Archive is slower-paced, and I thought the end of the Wheel of Time series seemed pretty similar to the rest of that series which was written by Robert Jordan, so I guess Sanderson has some variation in his style, just not much (or at least he prefers a certain niche).

FWIW I thought the first three Mistborn books were pretty great, whereas the rest of them have not hooked me quite as much. Maybe there's a bit of a stylistic difference there too, but it's slight.

Just finished my first #brandonsanderson novel, #mistborn . It was a fun read, and I binged it over a couple of days. I do think I'll finish off the series as well.
Have to say though, I fought with the writing style a bit. Are all his books written in a similar style? Is there something of his I should try out instead?

I finally started reading The Final Empire, aka Mistborn #1, and I’m pretty hooked so far. Allomancy, the book’s magic system based on ingesting metals, is certainly distinct among the fantasy worlds I’ve read and I’ve read a few.

📚 So my sister bought the first two books of the #Mistborn series by #BrandonSanderson and then handed them to me so that I would read them first. I haven’t dived into a new #fantasy universe in a long time so this should be exciting! I’ve read Brandon’s work on #TheWheelOfTime and it’d be interesting to see his own work.

Time for me to start listening to the #Mistborn audiobooks by #BrandonSanderson. I was reading these books when my son died, & obviously was in no condition to continue reading them. I gave the books away. I haven't read much at all since. Fingers crossed for this audio book.

I don’t feel the need to jump right back into the #cosmere universe. I’m very happy with the first three books in #Mistborn. I think I’ll blow through Mickey 7 next.
