You know what's worse than #misspellings and misused homophones on social media and #TV news chyrons?
When the built-in software of your TV has rampant misuse of #English in labels and here, in their TV channel listings. There's no way to reach anyone to let them know. It's absolute torture
English speakers do the same to other #languages. I know because I used to do localization for Schlage locks. I was horrified by what we had been including with our products

Seems the three most accepted ones are:
— early #Boston #fad of intentional #misspellings ('Oll Korrekt' and its predecessor OW, 'Oll Wright'), combined with a presidential campaign by #MartinVanBuren, whose nickname was #OldKinderhook.
— Derived from words used by #Choctaw (#Chahta) and other #NativeAmerican people, such as 'okeh' or 'hoke'.
— #WestAfrican 'waw-kay', or 'o ke'.
