First up, Miss Major Griffin Gracy, who passed away only a little bit over a month ago--10/13/25. Miss Major was a titan of the Stonewall age. She was not only an amazing performer but also a prolific activist and author. She also served as the first executive director of the Transgender Gender Variant Intersex Justice Project.

A lifelong freedom fighter, Miss Major dedicated her life to uplifting trans women of color, incarcerated people, and all those abandoned by systems of power.
