Years and years late, just finished #Misaeng. Loved the journey with this group of good people (others are so bad). Ok last episode is a bit special, but not unexpected - and it was joyfull and funny as well.
Can't compare too much with My Mister (atop of my list), it's another mood.

@EllenInEdmonton It's male-dominated but the few ladies in the cast get a lot of screen time and are definitely key characters.
I am not against realistically portraying a male-dominated world. It was like that in #Misaeng too and I loved that #kdrama
On the other hand I'm totally turned off by those k-dramas that in the first 20-30 minutes do not include any interesting dialogue with a female character. That's why I dropped #MyMister for instance.

#TheArtOfNegotiation

@hanktank61 I enjoyed #SummerStrike, too, but it does touch on folks really hitting bottom in their lives. The kind of almost panic-inducing lack of resources (from my perspective).

I enjoyed Yim Siwan a lot in #RunOn, too. He says his role in #Misaeng was one of his most important to him.

I enjoyed him in the movie #Boston1947, too.

@commonst @whoosh @EllenInEdmonton The prosecutors/crime/investigation #kdrama genres typically have little to no romance.

I loved #Stranger and #LongingForYou in this category.

Another action/revenge one that's quite ok is #MyName. However I have to admit that the fighting scenes aren't very credible.

If you want something different, always without romance, #Misaeng is a brilliant office drama.

@EllenInEdmonton It wasn't the chairman who hired Geu-re, but Director Choi through a recommendation coming from a friend. He just got an internship, which would have ended if he hadn't done so well on the debate part of the presentation. Then he just got a temporary contract.

I haven't watched My Liberation Notes nor Another Miss Oh. I dropped My Mister after 30' because the dialogues were boring. So I'm not entirely sold by that writer ๐Ÿ˜‰.

@EllenInEdmonton I don't mind slow #kdramas if the dialogues and acting are top notch.
It's clearly a low-middle budget #kdrama (they probably spent half of the total in Petra and Jordan!).
What I liked a lot is that it portrays real struggles, with everyone trying to find their path or, in some cases like Mr Oh, get a glimpse of a path they couldn't choose.
I miss a bit more introspection and flashbacks for certain characters. We know nothing about Dong-shik, Baek-gi and Seok-yool.

Best office #kdrama I've watched so far.
The everyday work life looks extremely realistic. The cast can speak English properly and I cannot tell for Russian, but even German sounded quite ok!
First and last episodes are set in Jordan, with stunning scenery. Other than that it's mostly always the workplace.
I enjoyed it a lot.

@ronsboy67 The opening scenes in first episode hinted at that espionnage and action plot twist in Petra. So it's not totally unexpected.
Apart from that, everything going on on first episodes doesn't feel far-fetched from reality.

@ronsboy67 Could you elaborate? I'm now at episode 4 and everything I saw so far looks plausible.
