Owl Eyes@Catwoman69y2k @autistics @murdoc The color scheme being really other-wordly in Mineclonia was off-putting to me. Like it's surreal enough (in #Voxelibre) for me, that everything is Voxels. #Mineclonia was a bit too fantasy-themed for my tastes - I don't feel any sense of "relating" to the landscape. It's moreso just a vibe thing. The gameplay seemed fine - no bugs encountered with #Mineclonia to speak of. I guess someone sick and tired of plain old #Minecraft would want some more novelty - which Mineclonia would provide. #OpenSource
@autistics @murdoc @Catwoman69y2k I say #Voxelibre is the best #OpenSource Game, hands down. The social aspects are the best. In my server we actually ask each other what we feel like (whimsically) doing, and then oftentimes work together to achieve objectives. Or just go off and do our own thing. Actually figuring out and exploring the "world" together is half the fun. I've only seen about 1/4 or 1/3 of the whole (algorithmically-generated) "world".
I briefly tried #Mineclonia last week (another game for the #luanti engine). Was OK, but it was far less enjoyable, because there was no friendship or camaraderie between the players to speak of (I joined a server with about 8 randos).
PS: There's talk of exploring a wrecked ship next week, discovered by @Catwoman69y2k
