So I bought a beautiful lavender #Google #Pixel 3a XL with #LineageOS preinstalled, and it has the Google Play Store on the top screen as well as Google Search. I am guessing this is #MindTheGapps, but is there anyway to check what it is? I REALLY do not want Google tracking me through this phone. I haven’t logged into my Google account and would prefer not to, unless I could be sure that only a quarantined part of of the phone was logged in, and the rest is safe from Google's prying eyes.

Das #Pixel2XL meiner Frau läuft mit #iodeOS (Beta) & #MicroG, hat aber Probleme mit Netz & Telefonie. Teste jetzt offizielles #LineageOS mit MicroG, später evtl. #MindTheGapps für bessere Stabilität. Beta-Versionen sind oft fehlerhaft.

Just installed KonstaKANG.com #Android14 to my #RaspberryPi5 with #MindTheGapps Android and the Android #JellyFin. 1080p video streaming working a charm.

Will try a 4k Video later.

installed #LineageOS on my S20+ phone today:
took quite some effort, since there's only a (slightly outdated) unofficial version of LineageOS available

- downgraded the #firmware to 'G986BXXSFFVIB' (the last version for Android 12)
- extracted the BOOT image, patched it using #Magisk, and flashed it (to have root access)
- did *not* install #Opengapps, #MindTheGapps, or even #microG, to see if we can manage without the Google Play Shop/Services

is there any way to install #gapps on an isolated work profile with #shelter, or at least have them only affect the work profile?

I did installed #LineageOS but didn't go with #microg because I read that they didn't work properly with some GPS apps. And since I'm travelling and I need those to work I installed #mindthegapps instead.
