Because of the ridiculous change in #DeMinimis the UK goodies that my relatives send to us every year can’t be sent. And because #MincePie is basically non-existent here, expecially #Vegan ones, I decided to try a recipe. And they came out good! Not pretty, but spouse and offspring approve. Here is the recipe, and I made a crisco pie crust from scratch. #VeganFood

Had coffee today with a dear friend from England. We talked at length about the traditional foods of Christmas. She rattled off many foods I'd never tried and when she heard I'd never had mince pie, she declared, "you haven't LIVED if you haven't tasted mince pie!!"

What are the best #MincePies this year? For my sins I’ve only tried the standard Tesco Finest so far, normally they’re a solid bet but they felt a bit bland. Recommend me your favourite #MincePie please!
