I finished book 10 which was Alan Axelrod's, "Miracle at Belleau Wood: The Birth of the Modern U.S. Marines". The German offensive during WWI needed to be stopped before they reached Paris. The Marines at Belleau Wood did just that thus cementing their place in history.
