The list of this #innocentpeople #murdered by agents of the state is far too long to list in a simple post.
None of these people ever received #justice.

Here are a few to remember right now.

#AlexPretti (2026) - #Executed for helping a woman and having a CCW near #ICE.

#ReneeGood (2026) - #Shot in the face through an open window while attempting to leave a protest scene by ICE agents.

#Tortugita (2023) - Shot 14 times while protesting against "Cop City". #Police claim he shot one of them, but in audio from the shooting you can hear police freaking out after shooting one of their own.

His autopsy revealed he was kneeling with his hands up in surrender position when killed. Body cam footage, which exists, was never released.

#PhilandoCastile (2016) - #Killed for being black and having a legal CCW. He declared his CCW, and clearly stated he was getting his driver's license for the officer, who then used that as justification to kill him.

#DanielShaver (2016) - Killed while crawling in a hotel room hallway in his underwear while begging for his life because someone might have saw him have a rifle through a window. He was unarmed. The officer who killed him had a weapon that was unauthorized due to a modified dust cover that stated "You're Fucked" when it opened. The officer who killed Daniel is now on a life pension for the "trauma" he received.

#JamesBrissette (2005)
#RonaldMadison (2005)
Killed by police who jumped out of a U-Haul, some of them armed with AKs, on a bridge post #HurricaneKatrina.

They were with their family and friends attempting to acquire water and supplies.

One was chased down the bridge, while running for his life, and gunned down from a moving vehicle. Police attempted to justify the killings by dropping "ham sandwiches" (dropped guns) to claim they were armed.

#Militarising “police” only leads to more unlawful deaths.

Scene: A meeting room in #NSW.

#Minns is crowing about how well the #HeavilyArmedPolice with #AssaultRifles (called “long guns” by the state govt & compliant media) did in keeping people safe during #Sydney’s big #CrackerNight.

Police Commissioner smiles.

“At least we can stop issuing assault rifles & machine guns now” says Minns.

“I don’t think so. Look how safe last night was! It was the weapons. I think we should issue more!”

“Okay”

India must rethink its Arctic outlook

As conflict zones multiply globally, another frontier is quietly slipping into turmoil — the #Arctic. Long seen as a realm of scientific cooperation and environmental protection, the polar north is becoming a theatre of #military and #geopolitical competition. With #Russia more assertive, #China expanding its Arctic ambitions, and #Washington renewing interest in #Greenland, the region appears set for a renewed phase of strategic contestation.

To be sure, the #militarising impulse of Arctic powers is not new. Nor is the tendency to leverage polar presence for wider strategic manoeuvering. United States President Donald #Trump was the first to drop pretences when he proposed buying Greenland in 2019. Far from the absurdity many deemed it, the idea had clear geopolitical merit; behind Mr. Trump’s theatrics lay a deeper instinct — a recognition that the Arctic was no longer peripheral to global power play, but central to it.

For non-Arctic powers such as #India, the implications of a militarised Arctic are serious, prompting many to reassess their regional postures. Even so, #NewDelhi remains curiously insulated from the region’s shifting realities. Faced with complex challenges closer to home, India appears oddly impassive to the dangers taking shape in the high north.
