It's interesting to see that our armchair militants on social media tend to do the same.
It's as is every month there's a "catch phrase" that I see repeated ad nauseam by all the self-proclaimed progressive militants.
In April, it was "Overton Window," in May it is "ableist." What is it going to be in June? Place your bets!

"Void"what place should allies have in #trans movements and #militantism?
it's a question that i was just put against and it took me a long moment to realize that this weird feeling of discomfort that was over taking me was the fact that... i don't know, actually.
i feel like cis people always do everything wrong regarding us, even when they have the best of intentions. but at the same time, can we really go anywhere on our own politically speaking? 
it's a big gap in my knowledge and my politics. it's actually kind of frightening to realize that i can't answer what feels like such a basic question.
i got some learning to do.
hopefully, this will make me a better as an #ally to cause that don't "concern me directly", as well. because if i don't know what place allies should have in my community and movement, i'm not confident in my ability to know mine where i am the ally.
