The #Milipede #Zombie fungus. Yesterday I saw this Xystocheir dissecta dead 3 ft off the ground, which would be like finding a dead mole in a tree, sure they could get there but wouldn’t hang out. Upon closer inspection it had the diagnostic eruption of spores between body segments of #Arthrophaga which plays the same neurological tricks as Fly Death Fungus and the Ant #Cordyceps: get your infected host to climb up high so spore rain down on other potential hosts.
