Common Ground – Community Life
A migrant forum on the right to the city.
25% of Berlin’s population has a migrant background. Most of us do not have the right to vote and therefore cannot help shape this city democratically, yet we keep it alive and contribute to it every day.
Come along, learn, ask questions and make connections with collectives and organisations fighting for the right to the city from the perspective of migrants.
Workshops, discussions, activities and more.
Whether you’re part of an organisation or coming on your own:
We’d love to see you there!
Organised by @CiudadMigrante

Common Ground – Gemeinschaftsleben

There is less than a month left until June 30, the deadline for processing the extraordinary regularization of migrants in the Spanish State that began on April 16. Workplace Organising for Migrants: A Discussion about our Rights
Teachers Club (Club na Múinteoirí), Saturday, June 13 at 02:00 PM GMT+1
Migrant workers are often in some of the most precarious positions in the labour market. While economies depend upon their labour, they are routinely subjected to poverty wages, labour rights abuses and health and safety violations.
The rights of migrant workers in Ireland will be front and centre of a discussion taking place on Saturday June 13th at 2pm at the Teachers Club, 36 Parnell Square, Dublin 1 D01T6V6.
At this event, key organisers from the Pan-African Workers Association (PAWA) and the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW), along with activists from the African Centre Ireland, will discuss the organising challenges, strategies and successes they have experienced in the last few years, and how we can collectively organise to improve our lives as migrants.

On April 26, 2026, ACRI, together with Kav LaOved and in joint representation with Kav LaOved and the Privacy Clinic, filed a petition with the District Court regarding the policy of the Population and Immigration Authority to prohibit migrant workers with valid permits from forming romantic partnerships for the entire duration of their stay in Israel, out of concern that they might settle in the country. This essentially strips migrant workers of one of the most natural and personal human needs
