Amaya 🌹Here’s one more. This is a black-and-white photo from below of a Soviet MiG-19PM carrying four guided ‘beam-riding’ RS-2U air-to-air missiles. Judging from the darkness of the sky above this was probably taken while flying near its service ceiling of 17,500 m.
Since I’m currently trialling the MiG-19P in #DCS I decided to look up some nice pics of the MiG-19 and Shenyang J-6/F-6.
I have to say these few are some of the coolest of the plane in service I’ve come across. Really showcases what the MiG is all about.
