"We Live Here" wants to send the message that LGBTQ+ people are everywhere and deserve to be treated like everyone else.

You're then informed that one of the <21ers parents "don't like them going downtown"

But to a bar with an unknown adult? #WTF? (I don't understand #midwesterners anymore)

A post about #NewYorkCity and #Omaha, NE, both of which have been home to me for nearly an equal amount of time.

I heard this said before, and it rings true to me.

By and large, #NewYorkers are kind but not nice, and #Midwesterners are nice but not kind.*

There are certainly outliers, and I surround myself with them for sure... but this generality applies to so many that I've met. How about you?

@mckra1g Now that's the Chicago I remember working downtown over the last 40 years in IT! This is why #midwesterners are tough as nails - when that wind comes off the river at -10F, you gut it out and walk over the bridge at lightspeed.
@mistymorningme Ohio here. It's nice getting acquainted with other #Midwesterners or people displaying #MidwesternNice. I lived a while in #SouthernCalifornia, and definitely missed the small things around here.
