It's #Finland calling!

Many people are amazed when they come up here in the #North during the #summer - how bright the nights are.

Here in the South coast there's no #MidnightSun - when the Sun doesn't set at all. That happens in the #ArcticCircle and above it.

But it doesn't get dark, either. I filmed this midnight last night. It's as dark as it gets. And then the #Sun rises again 3 hrs later.

Although we are not quite at the point of the Midnight Sun this early in June, the sun sets for only 2-3 hours before rising again. During this time, the horizon remains a vivid, fiery color throughout the night whenever the sky is clear.

This is the view late in the night from my living room.
