I ended a budding friendship with a 50+ man because of being unable to deal with their multiple #MiddleAgeCrisis poor decisions & the effects on me, as a platonic friend (got fed up with his bitching). My former 52 yr old friend ended his 30 yr marriage very suddenly. Less than a year into separation, he got into a toxic relationship with an Indigenous woman in her 20s with a young kid. He moved them both into his trailer after only dating LD for 2 months & then complained about how his super young gf wasn't responsible, was trashing his trailer & using him for his money. He breaks up with this young single Mom & less than 4 months later, is moving in young single Sikh Mom who he has known for only a month online. He started to complain about her being irresponsible too. He chose to hunt online for single Moms because he wants to be a Dad to a kid. He told me that he purposely seeks out younger single Moms with no more than 2 very young kids.
I told him that he is using young women to boost his middle aged ego & he is hurting a lot of people with his poor, impulsive choices. I told him that I cannot be friends with him anymore because he is now acting like a predator of young single Moms & he only seeks out POC women - dude has a toxic ethnic fetish & that grosses me out. I ended our short friendship fast.
