This week's #ThursdayFiveList theme is #TheFavFiveBand.

Of course, there are lots of great musicians in many different genres, but since you cannot include all of them, I only listed the first five favorite rhythm & blues players that I came up with:

Mickey Baker - guitar
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mickey_Baker

James Jamerson - bass
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Jamerson

Al Jackson Jr. - drums
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jackson_Jr.

Paul Griffin - piano

King Curtis - saxophone

This might have been a pretty good band!

@thetonearm The flip side of Cole's single is perhaps better-remembered now:

Ann Cole with the Suburbans: "Each Day" (1956)

"Each Day" was also covered by the jazz singer Sylvia Syms for the pop market. For some reason, her version (released on Decca) omits the name of Clowney and only lists Bob Kornegay and Paul Winley as the writers of the song.
