Nice long romp in Baby Blue on this beautiful day! Drove down to Scranton on I-81 to give her some highway miles. Traffic was heavy on the way back, so I was forced (forced, I tell ya!) to take the B roads back. Got her wrapped up to redline in 4 & 5th gears (6-speed manual), and she really seemed to like that. The ol' Italian Tune-Up, I guess?
I'd forgotten how much better the throttle response is above 4k RPM! And I swear she's idling more smoothly now?

Got the #Miata (MX-5 ND) out for a Trader Joe's run today. Very nice.

Mazda has confirmed the Iconic SP is a new rotary-powered sports car inspired by the RX-7, not a replacement for the MX-5. The sleek two-seater pairs a 365-hp electric setup with a dual-rotor engine and could arrive before the next Miata. Mazda is also exploring a true direct-drive rotary version for the future. Can the Iconic SP become a worthy successor to the legendary RX-7?
Ran some errands in Baby Blue, including taking her through the automated car wash (cloth). Looks much better, but there's still a couple remains of robin poop on the hood.
She still needs a thorough detailing, inside and out.
Also ordered her new convertible top, and found a recommended installer (auto upholstery shop) in Binghamton, NY (21 miles North).
