“As far as best friends go, you are the worst,” I whisper yell at Beth as she takes another swig of the now warm beer she didn’t spill a drop of as we climbed up the fire escape.
Worst best friend ever!

That is until I peer inside the open window Beth convinced me to drunkenly climb up to… David’s boxer-clad form is sprawled out amongst sheet music and cassette tapes. His guitar safely sits on the stand not far from his bed.
Beth is soo the best.

“He looks like a real rockstar, Carrie!” Beth mumbled.

“Am I the best-best friend now?” she said smirking stupidly at me.

“You are, now shut up,” I tell her.

I turn back to ogle the man of my dreams… but he’s gone.
