I don't like reading things like this, but also it matches my experiences and further supports how much I love using #ReadingApprenticeship pedagogy in my science courses at a Community College. It is all about creating a #Metacognitive conversation around "texts" in a supportive and safe space for students to explore. My non-majors will benefit in reading in general, and my majors will be able to tackle discipline reading after transfer with confidence.
KS3 German pupils have been using metacognitive strategies to ensure future success in their language learning. By checking their work against success criteria, they have been able to establish what they need to do next!
