Merzbow and John Wiese are doing amazing work together. Here's why I think it works... Wiese is like a virtuoso of noise. He's almost too on top of things. The Merzbow strength, in my opinion, is a kind of kitchen-sink approach and a total absense of technique and even judgement of what he's doing (that's how I hear it, anyway). Together, though I think Wiese dominates, there is a pretty effective balance.
