In winter I always suffered from cold feet. So this time I decided to buy some winter socks. Up until now I only used normal socks and indoor shoes.

Damn why did it take me so long to buy some merino wool socks?

What a comfy and snuggly warm difference.

Started watching "Keuringsdienst van Waarde", a Dutch show on NPO. I learnt that in Canada, for Merino wool, they:

a) Cut off the skin on the sheep's behind, to prevent them from being eaten alive by flies because their feces will get stuck in the wool.. It's called Mulesing.

And b) It's our own fault because we're breeding them with lots and lots of skin flaps (more wool per sheep!), causing these unsanitary conditions in the first place.

Money really corrupts.
