Wild weather in #Melbourne today!! BoM just issued a VERY DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORM warning. And rightly so: we had a *massive* lightning strike near us that shook our entire house. I checked on the VicEmergency app and a fire has been reported for that location, with emergency services responding. Seek immediate shelter and stay safe out there folks! #MelbWeather

Just had the first and hopefully not the last light shower here at Bacchus Marsh. Change is coming. Still deliciously warm (YMMV) but there is a cooler breath of wind now and then.

Checked the forecast for tomorrow earlier today, 41ºC, revised down from yesterday’s prediction of 43º. The latest check has it at 44º here and 46° for Melbourne itself, not going to be very nice at all.

So we have a couple of upcoming days expecting 38º tomorrow (Saturday) and 43º on Tuesday.
I feel for my brother in Echuca: from Saturday this week they expect temperatures in excess of 35º for the following 8 days, with Tuesday topping out at 45º. In fact, the forecast predicts 6 consecutive days over 40º.
I imagine further north the humidity will be rather less than down south where I am.
