The owners of these ships receive millions in European public subsidies. And when these vessels are caught breaking the rules, the fines do not come close to the value of what was illegally taken or the cost of the damage.
We must end all public subsidies to industrial megatrawlers & push for the retirement and scrapping of Europe's largest industrial fishing vessels.
