...okay it's a 5° climb for 0.3 miles but why is the lowest-traffic way out of downtown Kirkland which takes you east _over_ 405 _not_ on the Eastside 2 Line Connector map?
It's even painted as sharrowed

this is part of the changes they made in map marking that I dislike. it's totally there. a little bit of it is _wrong_, but it's there. and regardless, I can improve it, so I will in 2.0.9
Gonna drop a new bike map rev, but it's all just more caution/construction warning updates. The Burke-Gilman 5-day closure in Kenmore, NE 125th in Lake City getting all that work done (and it's gonna be great but right now it's, uh, yeah), and Kirkland's sewer problems just continue.
On the plus side, NE 124th also in Kirkland properly wrapped up, so it loses its warning, and the closure of Eastrail near the Seahawks practice facility is also long over.
Gonna see if there are any surprises in the Friday round of construction updates, and if there's something to incorporate I will.
I really thought Kenmore would be done with 61st Ave NE by now. But nope. Alas.

Naturally, we’ve picked up the new version, and both Greater Northshore Bike Connector and MEGAMAP 1.7 – 10 May 2025 – are now available to download.
But this time, I have something to think about.
They've gone and changed their map key on me, and I'm not entirely sure what to do about that.

A while ago I experimented a bit with different rescale-enlargements of the Greater Northshore and MEGAMAP bike maps. I posted some pics but they weren't consistently sized or distanced, so I fixed that. All of these are from my phone camera at a fixed distance away and are cropped down to the same physical size subset.
BTW, I dropped in a little slipstream update for the MEGAMAP just now - same version numbering on the map itself but I hadn't quite closed the gap on the Elliot Bay / Waterfront in the south. So now I have.
