I realized that all my #fantasy settings have something in common: they're all set across multiple worlds. Geography rarely matters.

#Shroompunk connects its Worlds-- bite-sized flat 'earths'-- by living #megadungeons called 'Warp Zones'.

#CosmicRangers is a #SpaceWestern with where local 'regions' of space are connected by hyperspace railways. #FTL and 'faster than FTL'.

#SDTJ2197 is set in San Diego-Tijuana in the year 2197. With Cultivation Realms and planar travel.

This is me weaving tons of #MegaDungeons into my #ShadowDark #sandbox #hexcrawl in CS2's Gloaming setting.

My PCs have no idea how deep so many of the places they stumble into will be! I am not letting them know before hand that I am using classic megadungeons with reskinning to fit my version of the Gloaming.

I ran lots of #5E for them pre and during pandemic & would often sculpt a story out of cool battlemaps I found that were typically 1-2 session things, so this will be new territory!

Which one is the goat of #OSR #MegaDungeons ? 🐐
