I've been feeling conflicted lately, about #AI and #piracy. I absolutely feel that what #bigtech does to train their #LLM models is stealing and is bad for society. But I'm also rather convinced that #mediapiracy is okey, especially if there's no way to really own a piece of media that you'd be willing to pay for. 🤷‍♀️ But that's absolutely not morally consistent.

As a researcher, I'm usually at the intersection of #FanStudies, #AudienceStudies, #MediaIndustries, and #TelevisionStudies.

My earlier work was in 21st century #Television, I've looked at #SocialMedia and #RealityTV, and recently been working in #AppropriateFandom. My next big project will hopefully be in digital #MediaPiracy, with a focus on #TelevisionPiracy.
