One day.. ONE DAY I’ll see my beloved Miami return. Until then… (fumbles with wallet)
I've written a post about how I made my keyboard garters.
While I didn’t design the DO52Pro keyboard, I did cobble together the system for attaching it to my thighs. I call it the “keyboard garters”, which is as far as I can ascertain, the first use of this term. I like it, both because it sounds queer (and looks queer too), and even pretty. Which is not often the case with geeky tools. Especially when used with skirts. I’ve even added a clip to hold up programming socks.
Staged all my (not currently in use) keebs on a Costco table in the mancave, possibly temporarily. I have about six more in use around the house. Sadly the upper right switch on the small white one is busted and I have zero soldering expertise. Ah well.
Current budget keyboard build.
Keyboard: Weikav WK87
Switches: Zi Yuan Axis linears
Keycaps: Random vintage Apple lookalikes from Aliexpress
Total cost: $AUD120
Really happy with the way this has turned out, especially given the cost. That weikav board uses VIA so I was able to remap the otherwise-unused scroll lock/pause keys to useful macros, I love the sound and feel, and the look is exactly what I was going for.
