Going through some old boxes of stuff, I've found two slim documents written by my dad in his days as an engineering student.
These are some pages from the first one. I think this must have been something he did for his first year practical work. (The reference to army leave was national service, taken before his degree).

Still quite noisy, especially around Z axis, but the signal to noise ratio is finally high enough that I can make meaningful assessments, tune the filter and quantify errors.
