Are Your Reasoning Models Reasoning or Guessing?

The old and the new #mechanism - part 2
- Explanation attempts for the understanding of the #reductionistic and #positivistic world view -
In this 2nd part of the article, in my opinion, the #complexity of #biological #systems is taken into account and in this respect the #mereological #fallacy in the old #mechanistic #world #view, that the whole is always more than the sum of its parts, is referred to as a #construction #error in #reductionism.

The contact to the author and the possibility to publish both parts of the article "The old and the new mechanism" was made possible for me by the very friendly and helpful support of Andrin Kohler (head of the German section) of the Swiss site philosophie.ch, which is very well known internationally in terms of philosophy. I was very happy about the "joint-venture" of both sites.

@tferebee
I'm especially interested in your explorations of #representation and #mechanistic modeling.
Cornell is a terrific place to learn. I found it very hard to leave...
