The cells in our bodies are continuously exposed to mechanical forces that are either externally applied or generated by the cells themselves. Being able to respond to such mechanical stimuli is an indispensable prerequisite for a large number of biological processes.
Jocelyn Etienne#mechanobiology people: I've setup a bot tooting #cytoskeleton preprints, @Rxiv_cytoskeleton , but that includes more biochemical things and excludes more morphogenetic ones. I ask for your ideas for what a good filter would be to get mechanobio all and only papers. I guess, something like "(#cell or #tissue or #actin or ...) and (#force or #mechanicalstress or #strain or ...)".
