Went to see Max Creek at The Met in Pawtucket RI last night. Coming up on their 55th anniversary and still going strong. They paid a beautiful tribute to the late Bob Weir, sprinkling seven Bobby related tunes through their set.

Me and My Uncle, Monkey and the Engineer, Estimated Prophet, The Other One, Big River, Not Fade Away, and Sugar Magnolia!

@korrejohnson Just seeing this tonight. Bill is awesome! I think we met around 1992. Not only is he an amazing archivist for Max Creek, but he has taped an amazing array of artists, most of which were not taper friendly.

There was a “Hoe Down” featuring the music of the country western and rock band Max Creek back on June 7, 1974. Going way back into the early days of #maxcreek history, check out this article I found published in the June 6, 1974, edition of the Manchester Evening Herald newspaper (Manchester, Connecticut). I wish I could have been there to see the Whirlaways Square Dance Club perform during Max Creek’s set break. That would have been fun!
