The entire fight was a sries of good exchanges, with Smith scoring in the outside fight while Matias was winning the inside fight. Matias got knocked down on the 5th after a furious exchange, and the referee waived the fight at the count of 8. It was an early stoppage to be sure, Matias was still raring to fight. But as such, Smith fought a good fight.
