Fitness update:
Since I've been doing these periodically over the last few years, figured I'd drop another upon my return.
I haven't lost much weight in a few months. I got a major case of diet fatigue after cutting got 2.5 years. Decided to take a break and focus on fueling my preparation for a handful of 5ks. I ended up putting on about 9 lbs but my body composition continued going in the right direction. Basically, all that weight was food in the belly and muscle. No significant fat gains. Thankfully I was taking measurements the whole time else that could have messed me up mentally. I restarted cutting and am already down 5 of those 9lbs.
For races, I knocked it out of the park. My goal 5k race for the year I ran in 22:36. Down from 26:17 at the start of the year.
I also signed on with a triathlon coach and have begun triathlon training. Goals for next year are to complete an Olympic distance triathlon and break 20 minutes in the 5k.
