Not that ANY of this newfound knowledge was gained after screwing up my very first #polls or anything.🤣 Just going to chalk it up to fudge fingers (i.e., those polls were supposed to be single-answer polls!). So, after correcting this, it was quite a surprise to see the poll counters reset.😂 Hopefully other #n00bs will see this & learn from my mistakes to save themselves the trouble.

#mastodon #n00b #question: I've noticed that when I DM people here, sometimes the system posts these messages as if they're toots and not DMs, which is a bit unsettling for obvious reasons. I've deleted the unintentional toots & retried DM'ing them a few times but it's still posting my DMs as toots instead of DMs. What do I need to do differently, if anything, to fix this?
