I confess, as much as I love b&w photography I shy away from it because I find it intimidating. I know it’s a matter of practice and developing my eye but for someone whose entire style is color, it feels like I’m pulling the rug out from beneath myself.

Photographing the stars always makes me think of Star Trek. It's always so confusing to me how folks who hold bigoted ideals can enjoy the world created by Rodenberry. It's an anti-capitalist, socialist society built on the idea that knowledge gained through understanding other cultures and environments is the greatest achievement humanity could reach. Bigotry is the antithesis of everything the Federation was founded upon.
