#Extremist behavior and complaints from school officials had led #ChulaVista police to seize dozens of his family's guns after a " gun-violence restraining order" was placed re: mentally unstable #CalebVazquez a year before this apparently preventable attack...

Vazquez had told school & psychiatric professionals he idolized Adolf Hitler and was gathering information about him and mass shooters on the “dark web.”

According to the police, a restraining order was placed on his father's weapons stockpile , after officers said Vazquez, spoke of a “day of retribution” and “expressed fascination” with #massshooters who conducted bloodbath incurring gun attacks in Isla Vista; El Paso; Norway and elsewhere. 

His family filed sucessfully to get the guns confiscation rescinded within weeks, and has since issued a statement through #lawyers in which they purport to have empathy for their child's victims, despite self righteously supplying the arms that killed all of them....

“Coming from a diverse family that not only includes immigrants but #Muslims as well, we always taught the importance of acceptance, #compassion, and love for one another. We are proud of the different backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, and religions within our family and community,” his family issued statement said.
