Garrus used to be my go-to romance with femShep, but this round I only romanced Kaidan. The first time I encountered Garrus with Tali, I squeed outloud 😅

I realised I had never done a run where Shep did not go for someone else in 2, so now I’ve officially had a faithful Shep at long last. I mean, it made sense because the romance scene in ME2 is really boring. So much build-up and then you just get a cuddle.

Please enjoy a shot of Tali and Garrus having a tender moment at the main battery, just seconds before Shep ruins the moment by barging in.

Apparently I have never brought Javik to Thessia before.
So this time round I did! His comments to Liara’s description of the temple of Athame are great. At times very droll and nonchalant, yet sort of sweet. Sort of.
And he found the first source of power to activate the beacon, so that was cool.

This run I’m trying to mix my teams up a bit, and for now my go to are Javik and EDI. I got some new dialogue by bringing Javik to rescue the krogan scouts, as he recognised Grunt from staying in the cargo hold where Grunt was in the previous game. Javik mentions he can sense the memory of the space’s previous occupant, so that was a nice tie-in when they actually meet.

I'll go ahead and leave this warning to anyone else who ever wants to romance Samara, if you recruit Javik and you invite him to the party in the Citadel DLC, a female Shepard will wake up the morning after with Javik in bed, and at the end of the game you'll see his face after you have chosen Control, Destroy, or Synthesis. I don't know if this also happens automatically with James or if you can avoid him at the party.

Well, at least now I can redo her eye color, so she looks more like I intended her to look in the previous game.
I could call it a humane mistake Miranda made while bringing Shep back to life? 🤷🏻
But I still can’t explain why her backstory changed. She was an orphaned colonist in the first game, from Mindoir. Second game she was a spacer for some reason and suddenly her mother was alive. That’s the only thing I can’t change here.

S1E9: Oh right, this is the episode with the reveal that the vision that Jurati and the Zhat Vash received is actually the message from the Catalyst in #MassEffect3. 🤦‍♂️😆
