Le dimissioni del sottosegretario alla Giustizia Andrea Delmastro precedono di un’oretta il presidio del campo largo, anzi larghissimo (andiamo da Rifondazione e Marxisti Leninisti per arrivare ai civici più moderati), organizzato proprio per chiedere il famoso «passo indietro». In piazza Santa Marta, a qualche decina di passi dal municipio e dalla sede di Fratelli d’Italia, si sono ritrovati circa in duecento tra sorrisi e pacche sulle spalle, dietro uno striscione che l’evolversi degli eventi ha reso subito obsoleto, armati di bandiere e con ancora negli occhi il risultato del referendum (quello nazionale, perché a Biella il Sì ha vinto pur se di poco).

The resignation of Justice Undersecretary Andrea Delmastro precedes the demonstration of the very wide (going to Rifondazione and Marxists Leninisti to reach the more moderate civic groups) platform by an hour, organized precisely to demand the famous “step back.” In Piazza Santa Marta, just a few dozen steps from the town hall and the headquarters of Brothers of Italy, about two hundred people gathered with smiles and pats on the back, behind a banner that the evolution of events has immediately rendered obsolete, armed with flags and still with the result of the referendum in their eyes (the national one, because in Biella the Yes won, albeit by a small margin).
