Two weeks ago, I saw a marten on Central Street between Washington and Pine streets. Today, I think I saw a marten on Canal Street between Brook Street (the old Garofalos) and the laundromat. Martens are a type of weasel, though they are not political, and they are not necessarily good around people. Like most wild animals, they don't go looking for trouble; but if a marten thinks it is being cornered, it can be trouble for someone nearby.
