#Trump’s team has zeroed in on some candidates for other roles after vetting thousands of names & seeking to ensure they are #loyal to Trump.

#MarkPaoletta, who served as general counsel in the OMB in Trump’s first term, is a contender to become #US #AttorneyGeneral…. #Paoletta was responsible for some of the Trump admin’s most controversial moves, including a delay in security assistance to #Ukraine that triggered Trump’s first #impeachment.

#MarkPaoletta penned other pieces defending #ClarenceThomas including one in which he called #AnitaHill a liar.

WaPo revealed that #LeonardLeo steered at least $1.8M into a PR & online astroturf campaign to attack a 2016 HBO film about the Clarence Thomas’ nomination. #Paoletta was the face of the campaign & was paid $300k by Leo’s Judicial Education Project….

When asked, Paoletta confirmed, “my good friend Leonard Leo’s group provided funding for this work,” including the Thomas film.
