Sarek, teleplay by #PeterSBeagle.
1οΈβ£ #MarkLenard as Sarek.
2οΈβ£ βAll this magnificent technology and we find ourselves still susceptible to the ravages of old age. The loss of dignity, the slow betrayal of our bodies by forces we cannot master.β
3οΈβ£ One of the best examples of #StarTrekTNG doing mature, adult sci-fi.
4οΈβ£ #PatrickStewart does some exceptional work in the final scenes.
5οΈβ£ According to #IMDb users, this is the 36th best episode.
#StarTrek 83 (1973) - 10/10
Yesteryear, written by #DCFontana.
1οΈβ£ #MarkLenard as Sarek.
2οΈβ£ βI have returned to the past in an attempt to restore the future. I am home and I had almost forgotten its beauty.β
3οΈβ£ Terrific time-travel story, which turns surprisingly emotional at the end with the passing of the pet sehlat. The premise is genuinely intriguing, with Spock posing as a distant cousin he remembers from when he was a child.
#StarTrek 45 (1967) - 10/10
Journey to Babel, written by #DCFontana.
1οΈβ£ #MarkLenard as Sarek.
2οΈβ£ βWe're carrying over one hundred valuable Federation passengers. We're being pursued by an alien ship. We're subject to possible attack. There has been murder and attempted murder on board.β
3οΈβ£ The plot has all the ingredients of a very good Trek episode: politics, murder, action, etc. But this is a superb episode because of the way Spock is written, and because of the dilemmas he faces.
