I have been with the #druids in #Beaumaris tonight, celebrating the #MariLwyd as she reaches the tumult of her reign as the boney queen of winter that hungers and thirsts after all forms of life.
She snaps and gnaws at the joyful energies and life - giving nourishment that sustains us throughout the long dark winter, before the first blossoms carpet the ground as the strengthening sun returns.
She'll sleep after old new year.

My wife has had this hobby project recently, where she’s been making a Mari Lwyd puppet, with a 3d print replica of the traditional horse’s skull as the base. For the first version this looks great, but she’s already planning adjustments for the next one!
